To develop, monitor and evaluate library policiesTo develop and maintain the Library environment
To manage the library budget bearing the short-term and long term goals in mind
To submit library annual report to the President
To manage library staff and co-ordinate their training
To identify collection development priorities and manage library collection
To establish and manage effective library systems and procedures which facilitate access to library resources
To manage software for library materials
To manage cataloguing, classification and circulation activities
To maintain collection in good physical condition
To alert faculty and staff of the new arrivals
To acquire books and other resources for the library
To manage incoming periodicals
To develop and maintain the library’s web-page in consultation with the IT department
REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree in Library and Information Science from accredited university with minimum 10 years experience in any accreditated College or University.
Managerial and administrative experience is a must.
Must have excellent computer skills Knowledge of foreign languages with English as a proficiency level and knowledge of Arabic as an asset.
Effective communication and presentation skills both written and oral.
