H.H. Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts attended the celebration held at Al Ghurair University, Dubai Academic City Thursday 11th,Feb. to mark 10 years of its establishment which coincided with the graduation of 300 students who attained a bachelor degree in variable specializations . Prof. Abdelrahim Mohammad Al Ameen, President of the University, welcomed the presence of His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the guests, congratulating students on graduation. He also praised faculty and administrative efforts that have contributed to high numbers of admission rates. He stressed that the University is seeking at this stage to develop partnership with public and private sectors and civil society, whether training or consultancy and building partnerships with international universities, as well as product development research and regional recognition by regional and international bodies. Declaring the University has obtained full accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on both business administration and Information Technology programs, and gained membership of the World Association of Universities and the Federation of Arab Universities ,as well as gaining the academic recognition of several Arab countries, where the students of AGU come from The ceremony ended with the graduation of over 300 students who obtained a bachelor degree in their respective fields of specialization, where His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied by Essa Al Ghurair awarded outstanding students from colleges of Engineering, Computer ,and Business Administration and Department of Interior Design His Highness also received a memorial shield from the University of Al Ghurair by Mr. Essa Al Ghurair who expressed his appreciation to His Highness for honoring the ceremony. Ceremony was attended by members of the Board of Trustees, faculty, administrative, graduate students and their families. Also present on this occasion were Mr. Syed M Salahuddin Managing Director, ETA ASCON STAR group and Mr. Ibrahim Al Ghurair, Director, Al Ghurair Group.
